Process Picture Explanation
#1 Collection
Post-consumer PET bottles are compressed into bales and collected in the warehouse to be re-manufactured into new products.
#2 Preparation for recycle process-1
Bales are opened and sent to recycling process.
#3 Preparation for recycle process-2
PET bottles pass through a mesh conveyor belt whitch shake the sand off from the PET bottles.
#4 Preparation for recycle process-2
Post-consumer PET is often sorted into different color fractions: transparent PET or colored PET. Each color type of PET is separated by employee and put in different bins.
#5 UV Separator
PET bottles pass through Ultravioret rays to remove PCV bottles.
#6 Electrostatic separator
PET bottles pass through an electrostatic separator witch produces a magnetic field to separate PET bottle from any alminium and iron.
#7 Shredder process-1
Treat post-consumer PET by shredding the material into small fragments(approx 25mm diameter).These fragments still contain residues of the original content such as the follwing ; shredded paper labels and plastic caps.
#8 Air classifler process-1
Regrind material is passed through an air classifler witch removes materials lighter than the PET such as plastic, paper labels or other fine materials.
#9 Shredder process-2
Treat 25mm diameter PET flakes by shredding the material into small fragments(approx 15mm diameter).
#10 Air classifler process-2
Regrind material is passed through an air classifler again to remove materials lighter than the PET.
#11 Float/Sink classifler process
The flakes pass through a float/Sink classifler. During this process, PET flakes (heavier than water) sink in the classifler. On the other hand, PP/PE (lighter than water) float to top.
#12 Cleaning process-1
The flakes pass through a pre-washer tank.
#13 Cleaning process-2
The flakes pass through a main washer tank.
#14 Cleaning process-3
The flakes pass through a finishing washer tank.
#15 Magnetic separator process-1
The flakes pass through a magnetic separator to eliminate fine iron powder.
#16 Air classifler process-3
Regrind material is passed through a final air classifler to remove additional fine material.
#17 Shredder process-3
Treat 15mm diameter PET flakes by shredding the material into small fragments(approx 8mm diameter).
#18 Dry process
PET flakes pass through a hot air duct to eliminate residual moisture.
#19 Magnetic separetor process-2
The flakes pass through a magnetic separator again to eliminate fine iron powder.
#20 Packaging
PET flakes are packed into a super sack.
